HELICOPTER & AVIATION SCIENCE
NOTE: This program has been proposed by MCC to begin Fall 2016 and is pending approval.
The Helicopter and Aviation Science Program (pending program approval) is designed to create well-rounded aviation professionals, Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) operators, and helicopter pilots. It will provide students with the aeronautical knowledge, decision-making skills, flight proficiency, and industry segment-specific competencies to be successful in the thriving helicopter or UAS aviation industry. In addition to the flight specific content, program subjects include meteorology, risk management and safety, GIS (Geographic Information System), and aviation instruction.
Aviation Technology Private Pilot Helicopter License Certificate
NOTE: This certificate has been proposed by MCC to begin Summer 2016 and is pending approval.
This certificate prepares the student to receive a private pilot helicopter license.

Unmanned Aircraft Systems Certificate
NOTE: This certificate has been proposed by MCC to begin Summer 2016 and is pending approval.
This certificate teaches the student about the regulations of flying an unmanned aircraft system (drone). It also prepares the student to understand all the risks and flight information to fly safely.
